![]() ![]() She turns away from food that I try to give her, but will bite at vibra bites or grindal worms that flow past her face. She is consistently swimming in the corner where the sponge filter bubbles are the strongest. There are also la lot more cherry shrimp in that tank than I originally thought, which is super cool. It’s not a permanent solution, although I do really enjoy looking at those pieces in that setting. I put a few pieces of my pottery collection in that tank for the Cories and fry to hide in and among, and I sure am seeing all of them more often. ![]() They’re a lot bigger than some of the other batches of fry, and I wonder if some are growing faster than others, or if she had some at different times? Not sure. Many of Esmerelda’s fry are already clearly showing black bodies and/or tails, which is amazing. They look sooty, or kind of dirty, like the Dalmatian puppies rolled in soot, lol. Also, the pandas are MUCH darker on the black substrate. Whereas the endlers are both competitive with, and skittish of, the cories. Darling will swim among the cories, even bumping them, and they’ll pass her or swim over and around her, nudging/bumping too… neither of them really react when it happens, they seem more interested in the food they’re investigating, or whatever other Important Fish Business is happening. Darling definitely has a very different relationship to the cories than the endlers do, though, lol. The shrimp and pandas still seem to be very happy in Olyphant and Jacaranda, both. Just trying to see which plants thrive, that tank is completely different than all the others. The hornwort is still there, and a sprig of wisteria. I’m trying some salvinia in it, and some water sprite. That tank is starting to come into its own, but it’s been slow. Simon and River are putting on some girth. The upstairs tanks are all at 76, one or two a degree higher or lower, but most 76. Speaking of tubs, the 2nd HoT guppy female died. I’m delighted that there are scuds in one of them. Im also doing some pickle jar experiments with the green water. Maybe I should re-examine what I think of as a successful tank. …so they were likely born a couple weeks ago, when the tank was murky and mulmy and I was trying to clear it up. ![]() There are half a dozen Paleatus fry in the White Cloud 20! Holy moly! ![]()
